You can not just change the extension, this will make the file unusable. Depending on the type of conversion you want try a Google for convert .ext1 to .ext2, the extensions being the types you want to change from and to. There is plenty of software.

Some of them are Free. find it out.
open My any folder, go to folder options%26gt; View Tab%26gt; untick %26quot;Hide extension for known file types%26gt; press ok. Go to the file you want to change extension you will see the current extension, rename it to any extension of your choice and when needed change back again to old extension.
You have to convert the video clip just google freeware video converter or something.
